When Colorado’s first practice of the season finally began after a half-hour rain delay, the only thing left in the air was energy and excitement.
“You got to have fun out here, and I think they had fun even after a hard practice,” said coach MacIntyre following the three-hour session.
The Buffs have no where to go but up after a 1-11 season in which they didn’t win at home for the first time in school history. They are pick to finish dead last in the PAC-12 by all credible publications and rightly so. Last season the Buffs lost by an average of 30 points per game…yikes. That was the most discouraging stat of the season, the Buffs were out of most games by halftime or even sooner.
New AD, new head coach, new season, but as my favorite sports personality Scott Van Pelt says, it’s easy to have hope in August.
