Happy Thursday!…Cruiser Ride

You don’t really need an excuse to get into costume in Boulder, but hey, why not search for any excuse you can?

Boulder’s Happy Thursday Cruiser Ride has been riding strong since ’92, each ride’s theme getting participants in costume.  Rides start at 8pm outside Boulder’s Green Guru Gear at 2500 47th Street, STE 12. and end on Pearl Street an hour or so later.

Weaving through the city’s neighborhoods in the heat of a summer evening, riders are brought back to the days of neighborhood bike gangs and long summer nights.

Tonight’s theme is “Cruiser Gras,” so come baring beads, masks, and any other New Orleans-inspired get-up and don’t forget the mantra:

To have fun and to be nice to everyone…
To ring thy bell, To wish everyone well…
To sing, to dance, to make merry,
To not bring more than I can carry…
To leave no trace, to Cruise and not to race…
To ride in control and not be a troll…
To stay to the right and to ride with a light…

And of course to say… “Have a Happy Thursday!
