December 20th, 4770 Table Mesa Drive

firstbike_joyNothing is better than seeing a kid get her first bike!

Make a donation today to get kids’ bikes to needy families in Boulder this holiday season.

Your contribution of $35 sponsors a child to get a new bike, and opens new opportunities.

  • Now more than ever, it’s what you can do at a local level that will change the course for our community.

  • Your help provides the most vulnerable with the tools they need to make a brighter future.

  • The gift of a bike at Christmas time not only brings joy to a child’s face, but also sets her on the course for a lifetime of riding a bike.

  • And with transportation costs being an average of 17% of a low income family’s expenditures, riding a bike puts people on the path to greater economic equity.

Now in its 9th year, the Kids Holiday Bike Giveaway is a community event from beginning to end.

Throughout the year, Community Cycles takes in 100’s of kids’ bikes. Each fall, dozens of volunteer mechanics donate their time to our “work nights” to get bikes ready for the December event. This year, Tebo Properties has donated the venue, Walnut Cafe is again a major sponsor, Boulder Community Hospital provides bike helmets, and other businesses donate snacks for volunteers.

And a hundred volunteers come together on the day of the event to distribute 200- 300 bikes.

That’s a whole lot of smiles!

And now, more than ever, your donation has the opportunity to make a huge impact in your community.
