Great Fun at Dairy Center for the Arts

Don’t miss a wonderful line up of inspired, incomparable, and hilarious performances kicking off the first week of March!

One night only. On March 5th, two-time Juno-winning banjoist, composer and instigator, Jayme Stone, will be playing at The Dairy as part of a 6-month national tour that includes the Lincoln Center in New York. Jayme Stone’s Lomax Project is his latest adventure and he’ll be featuring music from his newest album by that name that comes out just two days before his appearance here. Focusing on songs collected by folklorist and field recording pioneer Alan Lomax, this collaboratory brings together some of North America’s most distinctive and creative roots musicians to revive, recycle and reimagine traditional music. The concert will feature Margaret Glaspy (voice), Brittany Haas (fiddle), Eli West (voice, guitar), and Joe Phillips (bass).

Tickets for the March 5 concert are $20 and are on sale here, or by calling the box office at 303.444.7328.

Get ready to laugh. Opening March 5th and playing through March 21st you’re going to want to treat yourself to a new comedy created by Square Product Theater that I’m told is guaranteed enjoyment. Set in a colorful trailer park, Ham McBeth juxtaposes Shakespeare’s legendary tragedy with trailer park politics in a hilarious exploration of mother-daughter relationships, the inherent absurdity of the human condition, and the ways in which absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Ham McBeth follows a single mother and her rebellious daughter who is studying Shakespeare’s Macbeth in preparation for the SATs. Don’t miss out on what promises to be a comedy of regular if not epic proportions! Tickets are $20.00 in advance, $25.00 at the door.. Get more information and tickets here.

Music for 4 is the next Soundscape Matinee music performance March 18th at 2:00pm. Two innovative quartets described by just about everyone who hears them as “fantastic” will be featured. The Altius String Quartet and the Boulder Bassoon Quartet (no kidding!) are two young ensembles you’ll be hearing about for years to come.

Don’t miss this inventive and exquisite musical experience. Tickets available here.
