The Dairy is bringing you a magnificent selection of musical experiences from talented top performers.

The Soundscape Series

Wednesday, March 18th at 2:00 pm

Two brilliant, energetic quartets will be performing – the Altius String Quartet and the Boulder Bassoon Quartet.

The Altius String Quartet is now recognized as one of the most outstanding young quartets in the U.S. They are currently the resident graduate string quartet at CU Boulder.  As such, they tour and perform around the world in various venues and competitions in addition to working with the Takacs Quartet in Boulder. They have won the silver medal in the prestigious Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and First Prize in the Coltman Chamber Music Competition in Austin, Texas. They will be performing a diverse program of Haydn, Ligeti, and a surprise!

The Boulder Bassoon Quartet is in its 10th year.  In addition to the Quartet, the members perform regularly with the Colorado Music Festival, the Boulder Philharmonic, and the Boulder Chamber orchestra.  They will perform a program of works specifically written for them, including the Bassoon Quartet of Paul Hanson, The Sounds of New York by Rica Narimoto, and yes, a piece by the Beatles!

This concert is generously underwritten by Sacha Millstone and the Millstone Evans Group of Raymond James. Tickets available here!
