Green Home Tour: Step Into Sustainable Design

If your home sweet home would be all the sweeter if it kept the environment healthy and flush with green, this event is for you.

Boulder’s first-ever Green Home Tour launches Saturday, September 26th, 2015, when ticket holders step inside eight amazing green homes, two multi-family projects, and one tiny house.

CGBG_CircleBCRES_CircleTwo hundred or more design-minded attendees are expected by organizers Colorado Green Building Guild and Colorado Renewable Energy Society.

Discover the Latest in Green Building

The event is geared toward those eager to discover the latest and greatest in energy efficiency, green building, and solar design. Tour homes were selected to spark interest in green homes and promote the collaborative exchange of ideas on green building in the Boulder area.

Representing the most innovative green projects in Boulder, a broad range of budgets and styles are featured, including privately owned green homes in both modern and traditional designs, remodels and multi-family projects.

Examples of energy efficiency include a LEED certified homes – including a LEED Platinum home – and those that are EnergyStar 3.0 rated and Net Zero Energy.

Green features span passive solar design, solar photo-voltaic systems, high-efficiency windows, LED Lighting, geothermal systems, indoor air filtration systems, environmentally preferable materials, and xeriscaping.

An after party to celebrate the tour will be held at the Bohemian Biergarten.

Organizers will donate ten percent of ticket proceeds to local Flatirons Habitat for Humanity projects.
