CLASSICAL MUSIC UNBUTTONED
Wednesday, April 13th, 2:00pm
Sponsored by EKS&H
Featuring another concert where classical musicians unbutton their collars and do something “different.” One of Boulder’s most innovative and daring music groups is “Throw Down or Shut Up,” a CU faculty quartet. They consistently re-define the definition of “classical music.” They will share the concert with another CU faculty trio, the “Trio Cordillera” — performing unique music from Argentina and Spain!
NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN
Sunday, April 17th, 4:00pm
In this special performance, the Dairy collaborates with the Boulder JCC and the University of Colorado Department of Religious Studies to focus on chamber music by composers who were murdered in the Holocaust. Brilliant classical music from composers such as Erwin Schulhoff, Viktor Ullman, and Mordecai Gebirtig will stun you with their beauty — as will the poignant music of the ghettos, lullabies, and camp songs. Artists include Faye Nepon, Tamara Goldstein, Harumi Rhodes, Cobus du Toit, Kathryn Radakovitch, Anna Englander, and Amanda Riggers.
