Boulder leaders honored at “Celebrating the Ages” for helping local seniors

Two more days until Celebrating the Ages at the beautiful Millennium Harvest House Pavilion!

Boulder County CareConnect (BCCC), which was featured in a series of articles on the Boulder Source, announces its 9th Annual Celebrating the Ages fundraiser on Thursday, August 18.

Celebrating the Ages honors those who are making Boulder County a place where everyone can live and age well. The 2016 honorees are: Stan Garnett, Boulder County District Attorney; Jane Walsh, Boulder County Deputy District Attorney; and John Tayer, president and CEO, Boulder Chamber.

“This year we’re honoring outstanding citizens who are looking out for the interests of our local elders,” said Jim Rianoshek, BCCC executive director. “Stan Garnett and Jane Walsh have worked hard to make Boulder County a place where abuse and exploitation of seniors is taken seriously, and perpetrators are held accountable. John Tayer advocates for local nonprofits and links them with the business community.”

The casual cocktail hour event is from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Millennium Harvest House in Boulder. Tickets are $40 and include the reception and awards program, heavy appetizers, two drink coupons, a Wine Wall, Mystery Gifts, and photo booth. Tickets can be purchased at www.careconnectbc.org/events.

Proceeds benefit Boulder County CareConnect (BCCC) programs that help local seniors stay safe and independent. BCCC is a 44-year-old, 501(c)3 nonprofit.
