If you love anything canned, pickled, or fermented, the Feast of Fermentation is for you!
On September 9, it will be a food fest of gloriously fermented delectables including full entrees featuring locally-sourced ingredients accompanied by homebrews at the Feast of Fermentation, Boulder Food Rescue’s dinner celebration and fundraiser for a great cause. Boulder Food Rescue strives to minimize food waste and what better way to do that than by canning, pickling, and FERMENTING!
Held in the Avalon Ballroom, the Feast of Fermentation will offer four unique food stations prepared by Chef Jordan Anderson and the Escoffier Culinary School with dishes including:
- Sourdough waffle bar
- Taco bar with fermented toppings
- Tempeh and/or sausage with kraut
- Baked potato with fermented toppings
There will also be a home brew competition sponsored by Boulder Fermentation Supply.
Boulder-based band, The Tone Masons, will be performing live.
Hana Dansky, Executive Director of Boulder Food Rescue says that the goal of the event is to “build solid and meaningful relationships” with the community, which ultimately sustains “the work that we do creating a more just and less wasteful food system.”
