If you live in Boulder County, it’s likely U.S. 36 plays a part of your daily commute.
God love ya. This 60-year-old key passageway sees 80,000 to 100,000 commuting trips every day. Those numbers won’t be trending down. Growth projections of 53% in employment and 28% in population by 2035 mean a lot more traffic in the future.
The forward-looking people at 36 Commuting Solutions are on it. This local nonprofit organization of concerned citizens, local governments, and partner organizations works to enhance the U.S. 36 corridor experience for commuters – today and in the future.
RE/MAX of Boulder is pleased to make 36 Commuting Solutions our Featured Friend for August.
“U.S. 36 is a key lifeline to our economy and quality of life,” said Tom Kalinski of RE/MAX of Boulder. “Anyone who is sensitive to the downsides of growth – like increased traffic and longer commutes – should be plugged into solutions that address those issues.”
That’s pretty much everyone. 36 Commuting Solutions makes it easy for you to do just that.
The group approaches commuting issues in a wide variety of ways. Like providing people with easy ways to car pool, advocating for transportation funding that make a positive impact, and educating commuters about their transportation options.
