Members of Team RE/MAX of Boulder brought their A-game on Tuesday to win this year’s Care Cup Challenge benefiting There With Care at the Omni Interlocken Golf Club in Broomfield.
Trevor Bellows of Premier Lending was part of a winning foursome, which also included Dale Pearson, Nate Freeman and Dan Garbe, all of REMAX of Boulder. This is the second year in a row that RE/MAX of Boulder players have won and this time they shot a 55 on the par 72 course in scramble play.
The Omni Interlocken course offered spectacular views and ideal temperatures, with 130 golfers pitching, chipping, and putting to raise money for one of Boulder County’s great causes.
In September, There With Care celebrates 10 years of helping families with critically ill children ease the stresses of everyday life. In just one decade, the organization’s impact has grown from minor to massive, and it now serves hundreds of families throughout the Boulder-Denver region and San Francisco Bay Area.
For families with a very sick child, it’s the little things that become hard to manage. Things like healthy meals, dog walking, sibling care, and much more fall by the wayside as family caregivers stick close to the bedside. With its army of volunteers and donors, There With Care shores up those important details, easing the burden of fragile circumstances.
“Every golfer out here knows someone who has been positively impacted by There With Care,” explains Care Cup Challenge Co-director Digger Braymiller. “We are thrilled to be a part of the tournament, and really, who wouldn’t want to take Tuesday morning off to play golf on this spectacular course?”
We’re betting many golfers didn’t take only the morning shift off. Between breakfast, lunch, on-course contests and complimentary beer by Upslope Brewing Company, it made more sense to play through.
“The generosity of sponsors, golfers and participants will allow There With Care to continue providing a wide range of thoughtful and fundamental services to children and families during the critical phase of a medical crisis,” shares Dana Bacardi, VP of Development for There With Care.
“The Care Cup Challenge is a really well run event,” explains Mr. Braymiller, a Realtor at RE/MAX of Boulder who also has run Front Range and Western Slope golf tournaments benefiting children with hydrocephalus. “I’m excited that this awesome tournament trophy will reside for at least another year in the lobby of RE/MAX of Boulder.”
We’re excited to feature the great work of There With Care all this month on BoulderSource.com.
