Chance gained national attention after the release of his prolific mix tape, Acid Rap which topped the US charts at number 26 on the billboard 100. Chance uses his new-found fame for very much more than self-promotion though; last memorial day weekend he set out on a social media campaign through twitter advocating for inner-city peace, leading to 42 hours of uninterrupted gun-free crimes in Chicago.
His 2014 Verge campus tour appeared at many college campuses including CU Boulder, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Penn State, Cal Poly, and many more. His performance at CU Boulder was full of charismatic energy, syncopated attention, and raw emotion. It’s easy to tell that this artist is passionate about his craft and the quality of his performance was apparent.
If you missed out on this great opportunities for an on-campus show, make sure to visit the Balch Fieldhouse for Skrillex on October 15th and Pepper on October 22nd!
