On Thursday, December 4th, RE/MAX of Boulder hosted its annual Holiday Trunk Show at their site at 2425 Canyon Blvd., where a dozen of Boulder’s small local businesses and artisans sold their wares to the clients, agents and staff members of ROB.
The wine was flowing and nibbles were nibbled as happy patrons worked their way around the room delighting over pottery, candles, jewelry, bling and books! RE/MAX of Boulder has been hosting this event for at least 10 years and does this as a way to support local business and stay in touch with valued customers. “It’s a real win-win situation that just sort of runs itself” says Lisa Wade, event organizer. “Each year we get calls from both the public and the artisans to make sure we are going to host it again.”
RE/MAX of Boulder does not charge vendors to participate and they enjoy the opportunity to gain exposure and make some sales. Its a relaxed environment and often, the vendors make connections with each other that can be valuable down the road. Some laugh that they end up buying things from others as much as selling their own wares. What a great way to start the holiday season with a warm feeling of cooperation.
