Boulder Ballet: Storybook – “Mary Poppins”

Every year, Boulder Ballet School brings a familiar tale to life through the beautiful art of dance in Storybook Ballet. These productions feature original choreography and music and are performed by students of Boulder Ballet School.
This year, Storybook Ballet reprises its 2008 production Mary Poppins, with original choreography by Ana Claire and original music by Victoria Ebel-Sabo.
The ballet will be performed by over 80 student dancers ages 8 and up. An inspirational experience for performers and audiences of all ages!

Square Product Theatre: Unbe-weave-able

Square Product Theatre presents the Buntport Education Team’s Unbe-weave-able: A Play Spun From the Threads of Greek Mythology.
Unbe-weave-able is a playful, family-friendly show that takes a new look at ancient origin stories, reveling in the ways that weaving and storytelling connect. Dive into the twists and transformations of 3 Greek myths! Arachne & Athena, Argus & Lo, and Echo & Narcissus come to life, with comedy and rivalry intact. This play is as shape-changing as the myths it depicts, glorying in the sparking relationships among mortals, beasts, and their gods.
Engaging for audience members young and old(er), the performance will be followed by a talk-back with the actors.

Two innovative quartets – the Altius String Quartet (currently in residence at CU Boulder) and the Boulder Bassoon Quartet – that’s right, a bassoon quartet – and they are fantastic! These are two young ensembles that you will love hearing and will be hearing about for years to come. This will be an inventive and exquisite musical experience!
