Calling all foodies and food-lovers! Here’s the update on what’s happening in the Boulder food scene:

Flatirons Film Festival’s Benefit

Tickets are now on sale for “Film, Chefs, and Glorious Song: The Flatirons Food Film Benefit,” the Flatirons Food Film Festival’s second annual benefit event.

Sold out last year, this year’s benefit will again feature small plates by celebrated local chefs that will be inspired by a single food-oriented short film. Opera on Tap Colorado will add interactive performances with audience choices determining the arias that the singers will perform for their pairing with either a chef-crafted offering or the food film. A live auction offering unique culinary experiences will complete the offerings.

Participating chefs are Daniel Asher of River and Woods, Dave Query of the Big Red F Group, Kelly Whitaker of Basta, and Nate Singer of Blackbelly Butcher.

The benefit will take place on Wednesday, August 3rd 6:30-10pm in the newly renovated MacMillan Lobby of the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder. Tickets are $75 until July 15 and $80 thereafter, and at the door. They are available at or the Dairy Arts Center box office at (303) 444-7328.
